My Roku streaming Stick+ stopped working. I discovered it was due to the USB Power Cable with Long-range Wireless Receiver. This plugs into the stick. My Samsung tv HDMI inputs all require that the Stick is plugged into the tv HDMI such that the USB Power Cable with Long-range Wireless Receiver cord is coming out of the top of the Stick (upward), so that it then flops/hangs down via gravity. I discovered that the cable that connects it to the Stick wore and developed a tear right at the stress point where it flops downward after the connection to the Stick. I feel this is a defect, and dont think i should have to pay $20 for a replacement. Ideas? Fixable?

I have asked the Roku moderators to look into your harassment of customers -- me included. Please stop stalking my comments and posts with your pat answers "to just go buy a new one 'cause the receiver is $20 and for just $20 more ($40), you can rinse and repeat driving a brand new showroom ready newer roku'. I have concerns about keeping my Roku systems working. I didn't come here to be insulted and told "over and over again" to buy new products. Most people come here for solutions/fixes -- not sales pitches. Thanks again.

Again, glad your unit did not need to be unplugged. Mine did and it fell apart. It was not forced. Still waiting for customer service or a way to contact them. If you cannot be helpful to the request, I don't need to hear your amazing experience with units that did not have defects.

I've also had this same problem! My integrated wifi cable broke at the mini usb end after only using it a few times. It no longer connects to the wifi though I bought a replacement mini usb. I am so frustrated. Very poorly made cable. I believe Roku should replace this cable!My SN is: 265077920720

jschoengarth Personally, until Roku either redesigns the need for a seperate proprietary cable, restocks their supply, or reaches out to users with non-functional Streaming Sticks due to this issue, I would consider purchasing one of the other Roku Streaming players that does not require this receiver cable.I know some users really like the Streaming Sticks but with this unsettled issue of failures and supply problems, will really be in the same boat if a new device exhibits similar failure. (Of course, the new one would be satisfied by warranty, but will still have to wait to receive a replacement receiver cable.)Just something to think about.

Mine also stopped working. I found another cable but this time the remote does not pair with my roku stick.

My cable tore due to hanging from the back of the TV. USB power cable with long range wireless receiver. Model# woo1 stick is an 225118806402. Purchased March 17 2021.

  seems I'm having the same issue. at first, I wondered why my remote didn't work, reset my stick, record my router, all done multiple times, still nothing. finally figured it was the wireless receiver. I just replaced my previous stick less than a year ago and now this. doesn't make sense. please help.

  Cannot find a replacement USB Power cable with long-range wireless receiver. Roku website says out of stock and I cannot find one anywhere.
  The end that plugs into the stick is super loose/broke.

    Same issue here with the long range wifi power cable. Roku cable was definitely defective. Broke without applying any pressure to it. Would love for Roku to make this right, especially considering you cannot even purchase the replacement part.
