There was a version not too long ago that Roku broke the iOS app, and I think the same thing happened with the Android app. They did get it resolved after a bit of time, but it sounds like it they broke it again.
Also, are you absolutely certain you have the official Roku app? At least on iOS there are apps that appear to be "the" Roku app but are actually from other developers and they try to get you to pay for something that Roku offers for free.

Still broken. Roku, I just bought my 4th streaming stick, 2nd that I have given as a present because I like the platform so much. I'm rethinking this now, though, because the Fire Max 11 (13 gen, build 0025837710212) I have has this same issue, and it seems like this should be so easy to fix. I care less about making the home screen have clever Easter Eggs than I do about having access to that home screen, whatever it holds.

device model Fire Max 11 (13th gen)
Roku app version 12.1.0.4644812
Fire OS 8.3.3.2 (Android 11, API Level 30, per web)
I downloaded the Roku TV app to my Amazon Fire Tablet 10 (running Fire OS 7.3.3.0 - Fire HD10, 11th Gen).
The app will open, but if I want to sign in (which I do), it won't accept my login ID/password combo. I know I have the right ID/password combo as I then used them to log in to the Roku site and make this post.
So, what about the Fire Tablet 10 and the Roku TV app is leading to this incompatibility? I care as I want it to keep track of what I've watched, what I have left to watch, and my list of things I'm planning to watch later.

Other people have reported this. I don't think there was a solution:

Hi! I have the same annoying issue signing in with my Amazon Fire Tablet. I just chatted extensively with a Roku agent for them to tell me it must be an Amazon issue. Like I disagree if I couldn't access the Roku app completely on my tablet then maybe I would agree but since it says my login information doesn't match their records or something to that effect when like you said I know for a fact it's the right email and password information cause works on my other devices. Have you had any resolution to this problem? Did you find a way to login via your Amazon tablet? If so please let me know in a reply. Thank you. And if anyone else has a solution to this problem please reply. Have a great day!

I see Roku has not addressed this issue for many months beyond asking the same troubleshooting questions.
I have the same issue and it's driving me nuts because there's content I can't access any other way.
Why disable it on a fire tablet when it works perfectly on a fire stick??

I have the same issue with my Gen 9 Fire HD10. The amazon store version of Roku won't install at all so I added the regular Play Store app and this version will do "guest" stuff but is unable to log in to my Roku account.

Exact same issue as everyone, new Fire HD10 13th Gen and password/username never work. I see the reason seems due to how we installed google play on the fire hd10 and Roku will not work on it.

And yet they won't submit a supported version to the Amazon/Fire store. Other apps I've "sideloaded" from the regular Play Store work fine.
You also answered the question about whether a newer version of the Fire 10 might work so now I don't need to replace my older one...
