Hi Steve117,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
We will be glad to assist you with your issue with the NFL channel since you can't hear audio. Please try to update the channel by highlighting the channel tile, pressing the star button on your Roku remote, and selecting Check for updates.
If the problem still persists after attempting the troubleshooting steps, videos from other channels play fine. In that case, we suggest contacting the channel provider's customer support team to report the issue and get help. The channel developers themselves maintain channels on Roku. In this case, an issue within that specific channel likely needs to be addressed with an update from them.
Best regards,
John

Same issue for me

Checking for updates did not help. Removing and re-adding channel did not help.
I have a Roku 4 that has this problem.
My Roku stick does not.

Hi Seahawk10,
Thanks for reaching out for support today here in the Roku Community!
The Roku 4 has officially been tagged as a sunset or a "legacy" device that is no longer supported with the newer software updates. It is also no longer supported by newer updates of the channels, and your Roku 4 might encounter problems running these newer versions of channels. This might also explain why your Roku streaming stick does not encounter this issue since it is an up-to-date streaming device.
We hope for your understanding regarding this,
All the best,
Kash

I’m having the same issue. I just bought a brand new 32” Roku TV and everything works perfectly except the NFL app - No sound whatsoever! I’ve tried everything - unplugged, uninstalled/reinstalled. Does anyone know what is going on? I’ve tried contacting Support at NFL and they just give the runaround. Is anyone else having this same problem?

Hello Rey, thank you for the assistance!
TV model: 4series-32
Serial Number: X02700D950YA
Device ID: S0VDY35950YA
Software Version: 11.5.0•build 4884-G5
Every aspect of the new TV works perfectly, except the NFL Network app which has perfect screen but absolutely no sound coming from it. I’ve tried everything possible to get it working. Power off/on, Reset, install/uninstall and nothing seems to work. Also, it seems other people are having this same issue. I’ve tried reaching out to the NFL support team but there’s no way to reach them directly. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Im considering returning this TV and going with another brand, but would like to avoid that. Thanks!

I’m having the same issue on a brand new Roku Ultra. Works totally fine on my older Roku Ultra in the other room, doesn’t work for the new one for some reason.

I determined it was a malfunction in the TV (32” HighSense) that was unable to download the latest Roku software. Essentially, it was “stuck” at the software level at which it was manufactured. I ended up returning it for a Phillips brand TV and magically, everything works perfectly. The NFL app emits both sound and picture. Good luck with your fix!

Btw, since mine was a roku4 I purchased a new Roku 4k stick and that solved the issue.
I will use the Roku4 on another TV and just won't watch the NFL on it.

If your new TV isn’t downloading the latest version of the Roku software (mine wasn’t) then return it immediately.

Same crapola again. It's gotta be on the NFL side. All of scheduled programs have no sound (with the exception of ads, yes, they have sound). Tried 4 different devices (2x Rokus 1x A to Z Fire TV, and a 2023 tablet. Same issue on all. All my devices worked fine earlier in the day but tonight all streams (except advertisements) are silent.

Had the exact same problem with the NFL app only. But it is fixed now. I have a new, 2023 Roku Ultra that is connected via a network cable. It's connected via HDMI to a 63" Panasonic TV that is 12 years old. I bought the Ultra because the NFL app was not streaming correctly on a Fire Stick or on my Xbox One. The Roku Ultra is the way to go for streaming the NFL app, no question. But I did have problems at first. The fix was to insure via the Roku settings that I had the latest version of the NFL app installed. You can follow this link to see how to do that, step one of three.

I followed the first step but the app still had no audio. I was troubleshooting it at night and ran out of time to continue. Shut everything down normally and the next morning powered the TV and Roku back up and voila, the app had audio. The app is working perfectly now. Odd that it didn't respond to the first step right away but it's been perfect for 5 days now. Hope this helps someone out because it was a very frustrating problem for me. I use the NFL app a lot for game replays since I am signed up for NFL+ premium.

This problem just went away all by itself the following week...maybe they should take some of Goodalls $60 million salary and fix it!
