I can say that nothing I have tried has worked. This is really disappointing. I have spoken to several reps with no success.

I just purchased the Roku Express and tried all the options given here, I even went to exchange it for another one. The issue is the same one.

I had a similar issue. Look to where the ports are in the back of the TV. If you have a LAN port, plug it directly into your router via Ethernet cable. The update will go through and then you'll have access to the settings menu to connect wirelessly. Hope that helps!!

I have the Roku Express. I've tried resetting, restarting my router. It's stuck. Any other advice? Seems many others have this issue thanks

I would like to be able to help with your concern about your Roku Express that was stuck on the initial software update.
Have you tried connecting your Roku to an alternative internet such as a Mobile Hotspot? If not, I would recommend doing so to see if that resolves the issue.

I've got the roko express bt it won't go past the software update nd just keeps restarting itself
