We understand you're having the same problem with AirPlay. No worries! We will be more than happy to assist you further. Please try to restart your Roku TV by going to settings, system, power, and system restart, and then try to restart your iPhone.

If the problem still persists, please keep us posted.

Thank you so much. This worked for me and my MacBook Pro, Catalina 10.15.4 and Roku Stick build 4178-CU.

I am also having this problem and have tried the solutions suggested in this thread. They did not work-- I can see video but no sound.

Thank you for raising your concern with us. No worries. We'd be glad to request additional reinforcement from the appropriate Roku team regarding this matter. 

Kindly provide us with the following requested details below:

  • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and OS version. (this can all be found in Settings > System > About)
  • Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
  • Your Macbook model and IOS version

Once we have this information, we will be able to assess your concern better and figure out the root cause of this. From then, we'll be able to find you the best resolution possible.

I have an older Samsung Smart TV that is the output device for AirPlay connected via HDMI.
