Glitchy Flickering Screen

My Tv is roughly 2 years old, never had a problem at all. The other day I was watching a show, and all of a sudden my screen started glitching out, it’s giving out static pixels in certain parts of the screen but covers about half of the screen making my tv useless to watch anything, any solutions?

Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. We understand that you are having display issues with your Roku TV. We're glad to help you with this.
 
Kindly try performing the below steps to see if you can resolve the issue:
 
  1. Power-cycle your Roku TV: unplug it from the wall power outlet and plug it back in.
  2. If possible, restart your Roku TV by going to Settings > System > Power (if you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step) > System Restart.
  3. Last resort, kindly try a factory reset: Go to Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Factory reset. 
We hope one of these fixes the issue. Kindly keep us posted.

What specific Roku TV is affected? Could you send us a clip of the issue for investigation purposes?

Additionally, if the suggested troubleshooting steps above did not fix the issue, we would recommend reaching out to the TV manufacturer, as this may be a hardware issue that will require their expertise. You can refer to this link to directly contact support for your Roku TV.

If this has been done, includng updates and darkening the screen and its not working, what is the next move?

I've factory reset my brand new out of the box TV and it still is flickering. Is it just broken?

If I had a brand new TV acting that way, I wouldn't fool with it.  Return it while you can.

Kindly provide us with additional information so we can assess your concern better and provide an accurate resolution. Let us know the following:

  • When did you start seeing the glitches? Did something happen that might be the cause of this?
  • Is this happening on a specific channel only? If so, kindly specify. 
  • Did your TCL Roku TV recently receive any software updates that might trigger the glitches? If so, kindly let us know your currently running software version. (Settings > System > About)
  • A photo of the glitches you're referring to for reference.

None of the things you say do work, my tv is flickering and I’ve tried everything and nothing has worked
