Trying to cancel my Bet+ account

Jump to solution

I have been trying to cancel my Bet+ account for 2 days on TV as well as from my phone.  Now on computer is just as frustrating.

My bank tells me that I was overdrawn this morning & took out money from my savings.

Obviously I must have pressed the wrong button that said change account and it took out money for the year!!!!!!!

PLEASE CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION AND RETURN MONEY TO MY ACCOUNT.  I cannot afford to lose any money.

Hi, @BigTedove_1.

Greetings from the Roku Community!

We understand that you wanted to cancel your subscription. No worries, we're here to help.

There are two ways to cancel a subscription. Via website and through streaming devices.

To cancel the subscription via the website, you may follow the steps on the accepted solutions above.

Here are the steps to cancel the subscription through your streaming device:

  1. Press the Home button button  on your Roku remote.
  2. From the Home screen, use the arrow buttons on your remote to hover over and highlight the app whose subscription you want to cancel.
  3. Press the Star button  on your remote.
  4. Select Manage Subscription to view the renewal date and access additional options.
If you don't see this option, your subscription is not managed through Roku.

  5. To cancel a subscription, select Turn off auto-renew. Next, you can choose to remove the app immediately or keep it for the remainder of the subscription term.
Your subscription should now only be active until the end of its billing cycle.

We hope you'll find this information helpful. Let us know if you still have any questions.

@Chrisbob52 if you have a subscription through Roku, the only place you can make changes is on your Roku user account site (https://my.roku.com). Log into that page and you can modify/cancel any subscriptions you have through Roku. Roku does not refund cancelled subscriptions, as they will continue through the current paid period. It isn't Roku that controls that, but the actual provider. To protect yourself from accidental purchases on your Roku, you can create a PIN that must be entered before any purchase or channel install. You can do that on the same user account site mentioned above.

If you log in there and can't find any subscription, then Roku is NOT billing you, regardless of what the CC statement says. If this is the case, your CC number has been compromised, thieves are billing you, and you need to dispute the charges on the account with your bank, cancel your current card and request a new card.
