I have a debit card that last night I tried to put in as my primary payment method however there wasn't any funds in the account so it declined it as a payment method.....
NOW, TODAY it DOES have money in the account but Roku is still telling me that it can not verify my card as a payment method.
WHY IS THIS WHEN THERE ARE FUNDS ON THE CARD???

Re: Roku cannot verify my debit card
**bleep**ing asshats. Just bought from Walmart. Won't let me hit HOME to update settings, and I can't sign in to **bleep**ing update because I'm setting up an account for the first **bleep**ing time. EVERY OTHER SITE ON THE PLANET takes my Visa, but your site won't validate it so I can't get in.

Re: Roku cannot verify my debit card
@hlowellestate, create your account without a credit card. It's not necessary and most people would advise to avoid subscribing to anything through a third party like Roku. If you can't find the "skip" step, go directly to the site:
https://www.roku.com/signup/nocc
Help others find this answer and click "Accept as Solution."
If you appreciate my answer, maybe give me a Kudo.
I am not a Roku employee.

Re: Roku cannot verify my debit card
A totally irrelevant unhelpful & shockingly bad reply. People are far more intelligent than you appear to believe. The process to add or update a payment card is not the issue.
The issue is your worthless badly written payment verification system that does not properly follow the standard industry wide care verification process. I have wasted time and effort trying to get support from Roku's equally rubbish customer service. One of the worst in my adult life.
You could organise a party in a brewery.

Re: Roku cannot verify my debit card
Totally irrelevant unhelpful and intellectually & factually ridiculous reply.
To watch subscription channels via Roku requires a payment card. Exactly the same as subscribing to a channel on Amazon Prime.
The industry has a secure verification process and liability for any failure rests with the payment card provider.

Re: Roku cannot verify my debit card
Actually, you can pay most subscription services directly and then log into them on various devices if you prefer. (Many people here would suggest this as the best way to go anyway.)
I subscribe to 3 premium services, but I don't do any of them via Roku.
I have Amazon Prime as well, but I also don't subscribe to anything through it either.
