Airplay doesn’t work after the new tv software update

same here,  done everything on the article,  still no working.  on the Apple and homekit setting there is no further option of "homekit" or "on/off". When click on it,  Airplay message appears but then nothing happen, no QR code, nothing.

All this went wrong since some software update. Used to work good.

  • I have done some troubleshooting after seeing everyone has the same issue.

    I found that on iOS devices the problem is a privacy setting in Wi-Fi settings.

    Go to:

    Settings > Wi-Fi > “your_wifi_name”.

    Then locate Private Wi-Fi Address setting and switch it to off.

    After completing these steps your Apple Airplay should work as advertised.

    This worked for me. Hopefully you find this solution useful. 😁

  • Ran into the same thing today. I Tried everything to fix it from updating iPhone 15 and Roku tv. Was going to try to screen mirror it to tv because it plays fine on iPhone. After update on Roku tv screen mirroring stopped working. So the last thing I tried after the usb to c connection straight to the tv wouldn’t work was playing the app through my PS5 and now I can watch through the system and the app works fine. Very frustrating but if anyone is still looking for a quick fix and has a PS5 on hand, I hope this helps.

      This is not an issue with the Roku Channel.  It's related to the 12.5.0 Software Update.  I had a spare Steaming stick that was on OS version 11.0.0 and screen mirroring worked fine.   Then it auto updated to 12.5.0 and mirroring failed.  Below is a breakdown of ,y devices and what I have tried.

      So far I have...

      * Verified AirPlay is turned on

      * TV Fast Start (for my 2 Roku TVs) is on

      * Screen Mode set to Prompt

      * Network Resert

      * System Reset

      * Factory reset (on a Roku Ultra)

      All of my Roku Devices have been automatically updated to 12.5.0.  I had a Streaming stick at 11.0 which worked, but then it updated and it now no longer works.  Below will be the information you requested for each device...

        If there's anything else we can further assist you with aside from this, let us know.

  • Same issue.

    AirPlay worked fine before.

    doesnt anymore.

    Apple and Roku seem to both have the same habit of shifting the blame literally everywhere else instead of themselves.

    its not the internet connection, its not device compatibility, its not anything else except you put out a software update that doesn’t let these work the ether anymore and now your team has to work to fix it. All your support staff does is ask questions that people have already given the information for, you’re support staff doesn’t know how to READ. If this is the laziness your company embodies, then it’s worth buying a different company’s product and throwing my Roku TV in the trash.

        Same issues.  I've tried all the same troubleshooting advice on this thread, and no dice.  I can see the "65" Roku TV" on my screen mirroring options on my iphone.  When I click the tv, it tries to connect for 30 seconds and I get an error message on my phone saying its unable to connect.  Used to work flawlessly, now doesnt work at all.  Super frustrating.
