Solving playback issues

Same as everyone else.  Internet and signal work great on my TCL-32”.  All apps (YouTube, Amazon, etc) work fine.  BUT ROKU LIVE TV APP DOES NOT STREAM CHANNELS!  It shows the guide but, when I select the channel (any channel)…it just goes dark.  This started a week ago.

No amount of rebooting, reloading, reinstalling fixes this issue, and Roku support is useless.

Same here…Live TV app shows a guide but, no channels stream.  All other apps (YouTube, Amazon, etc) still work fine.  Got stonewalled by Roku help…none of these “fixes” work.

No doubt a class action is coming.

I have same problem and just bought a new device.  Still doesn't work for Roku channel and Roku live TV.

I called Roku support and spoke to some guy that could barely speak English.  I could hardly hear him over some guy in the background yelling at a camel or something.

He told me it was a “server problem” on their end, and that they were working on it.  He assured me it would be resolved within 24 hours.  I think this was complete BS, and the guy just blew me off with a fabricated excuse.  I’ll know tomorrow I guess.

And when I spent 30 minutes with support, a'Specialist' told me I had to subscribe.  Idiotic.  I gave up then.

If you called a number that told you to subscribe to "free" Roku channels, then most likely you did not talk to Roku, you called a scam number.

Thanks for bringing up your concerns with the Roku Live TV Guide channels. 

Can you tell us when this issue started? Are you seeing a black screen or a frozen screen, or does it just keep loading when you try to open the channel on the Live TV Guide?
