Re: Can’t log in to Roku app on Fire 10 tablet

Had the same issue.  From what ive read in the forums is that  roku will not let you install the app on altered software like Jailbroken or rooted devices.  Ive had the amazon tablet for years now.  Its something that I believe is a newer issue now.  Why they do this is beyond me, as every other app can be installed via the play store on the Amazon tablet, but because you've altered the devices software, Roku blocks it.  Crazy. You can still use the app as a remote and connect to the the device v8a Bluetooth, but you cannot sign in.

Hmm . I have no idea how do any of those things you mentioned lol.  I haven't done anything to the fire tablet other than downloading the Google play store and installing a few other apps from there, like Kindle and Hulu

I thought you couldnt download the google play store app on the amazon tablets unless you did alter the software. Also on the app, it doesnt allow for Tablet version for some reason.

Ohhh I see what you mean. Sorry I did not understand. Yes I did install some things to be able to involve the play store, I totally forgot because I watched a video and completely forgot what I did lol. OK that makes sense thank you!

Fire Tablet 10 does not work with Roku TV app

I downloaded the Roku TV app to my Amazon Fire Tablet 10 (running Fire OS 7.3.3.0 - Fire HD10, 11th Gen).

The app will open, but if I want to sign in (which I do), it won't accept my login ID/password combo.  I know I have the right ID/password combo as I then used them to log in to the Roku site and make this post.

So, what about the Fire Tablet 10 and the Roku TV app is leading to this incompatibility?  I care as I want it to keep track of what I've watched, what I have left to watch, and my list of things I'm planning to watch later.

Re: Fire Tablet 10 does not work with Roku TV app

Other people have reported this.  I don't think there was a solution:

Re: Can’t log in to Roku app on Fire 10 tablet

I have the same issue with my Gen 9 Fire HD10.  The amazon store version of Roku won't install at all so I added the regular Play Store app and this version will do "guest" stuff but is unable to log in to my Roku account.
