Every time I adjust the volume a voice comes on saying the volume number. This is new. I’ve tried the * four times and nothing happened. Is there anything else I can do? I’ve gone thru the settings several times and can’t find anything else to try. My remote is Model RC787. Thanks for any advice!
Hi @Joan_wolcott,
Thank you for reaching out to the Roku Community. If you wish to deactivate the narration feature on your TV while adjusting the volume, you may consider following these steps: Navigate to the Settings on your TV and locate the "Accessibility" section. Within this section, you might find options such as "Audio Description," "TalkBack," and "Screen Reader." Some smart TVs and remotes offer shortcuts, such as utilizing the "Mic" or "Volume" buttons.
Please note that the specific steps may vary depending on your TV's make and model, but these general guidelines should assist you in getting started. For better assistance, you can contact your TV manufacturer.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Best regards,
Jharra
If this is a Roku player connected to a TV, then any announcement of volume is coming from the TV. (The Roku doesn't know what level the TV's volume is set to or how many steps it has.) So to turn that off, you'll need the TV's remote.
That worked! Thank you so much!
Is there a way to stop this issue?
