Hi our remote is not responding at all. It’s a simple remote, no flashing at all. Dead. Batteries changed and nothing. Tried all the internet things, unplugging trying to troubleshoot, it is just dead. Help? Kids wanted to watch Xmas movie:(

@KateBaze, if it's a simple remote, point it at your phone's camera and press some buttons on the remote.  If you don't see flashes coming from the end of the remote on the camera's screen, the remote is dead.  To get by, try using the mobile app on your phone as a remote.
