Since updating Roku Ultra 4640X to software version 12.5.0 build 4178-29, I have to pair the remote everyday.

Yes, the remote came with the roku device. This is the only roku device I own. I tried changing batteries and still experience the same issue.

We're glad to assist you with your problem with your Roku remote. Since this issue happens daily, we want to ensure that you set up your remote control accordingly. Kindly restart your Roku device by going to Settings > System > System Restart. After the Roku player finishes restarting, if TV control has not been restored, set up your remote for TV control again by doing the following:

I have never had the remote setup for tv control. Because this started happening recently, I dont believe that would be the issue. Side note, none of the TV codes work. I tried system restart and when the system came back up the remote was unpaired.

We would recommend first performing a full system restart on your device by unplugging it and then resting it for at least 10 to 15 minutes, then trying again to see if there are any differences.
