So it seems like the recent firmware update fixed the guest mode problem where the check out date would get reset to 12/31 but introduced a new bug that has messed up Roku TVs. Is that right? Is anyone with a standalone Roku device experiencing this boot loop issue? Or does it only affect Roku equipped TVs?

It happened to my stand alone roku device. I was able to turn off guest mode on the app and it seemed to be all right after it ran another update and I turned guest mode back on. I’m heading over today to see if it’s still an issue and to check two other properties before check in.

This worked for me remotely. I did this halfway accross the world. I'll wait til there is a solution to the guest mode as it seems to be a recent glitch
"What worked for me yesterday is to log onto your Roku app on your phone and turn off the guest mode there. Then turn the Roku off and back on. It should do an update and work as normal. I’m going to check tomorrow (this is at an Airbnb) to see if the guest mode is working again. Otherwise I’ll turn off the guest mode for now until the glitch is fixed. "

I was able to repair the problem. I downloaded the roku app on my phone and turned off guest services. I unpluged the TV and plugged it in one more time after about fifteen seconds, then I did a hard reset by pressing the reset button on the back of the TV, once again. Then with the app, turned the guest services back on and it still didn't work. I was frustrated. I left the room for about 5 minutes. Went back and it had reset itself. So hopefully that will take care of the problem for good.

Same issue on 4 of 6 sets in our Airbnb. Tried everything. Finally figured out that if you shut Guest Mode off through the Roku app the set will break out of the Signing off Guest Mode infinity loop, return to the Home Screen where you can manually or through the app restart guest mode. Worked for me 4X. Don't you just love field testing software updates for Roku?

I'm having the same issue. Roku branded Roku TV. I arrived at our condo, powered on, and it says Guest Mode Signing Out. I can't exit or get to main menu. After a while the tv restarts and same thing.
I tried reset button on back. Connected to network. Did update. Powered on. Same thing.
TV is 3 months old.

- Once logged in, scroll down to My Streaming Devices & TVs
- Find your Roku device and select Sign Guest Out
- Select Yes, sign guest out now

Yes, I can see that this would potentially work but with the TV cycling between signing out and restarting there is no chance to select the device. By the time the TV is selected the TV is restarting and dropping wifi, this the app is not able to talk to it.
Any other tips?

We also just experienced this issue for the first time. We purchased Roku specifically to have a Guest Mode feature we can manage "remotely" as we live 2 hours away from the property! How frustrating to think we had signed out the prior guest (the online portal makes it appear the task is complete), only to arrive at the property and see the prior guest information was still in all of the TVs... Each had to be manually logged out of guest mode directly at each television. Is Roku going to make it possible to manage this feature remotely in the future?
