There is a work around. Unfortunately you have to use a cable.
Buy a WiFi repeater on Amazon &20.00.
Set up repeater next to TV. After set up use cable from repeater to TV.
Works like a champ.
hope this helps.
mu box is reading the same thing. Is this fixable?

We have a Sanyo tv that is stating this message. All of our other Roku tvs are working just fine. Any suggestions. I have put in a callback ticket with Sanyo.

The Westinghouse Roku 65” TV worked fine 1 month back using wifi.
one evening the wifi would not connect to the router. While trouble shooting the message”MAC ADDRESS shows wifi hardware missing “
I searched all threads similar in Roku community. No results worked.
So I bought a wifi repeater and placed near tv. Used a cat 5 cable to connect wifi and now I’m back in business. Not really a fix, more of a work around. .
Hi @Bierolson,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
We see that you're having a network issue with your Roku device, and we'd like to assist. Could you tell us if there have been any recent changes that might be related to this?
We would also suggest connecting your device to an alternative network, like a mobile hotspot, to see if that makes a difference.
Please keep us posted!
Thanks,
Rey
I am having the same issue with my Roku Express. I took all of the same steps as the other users. It does not see any of the many Wi-Fi networks around me or my phone’s hotspot. I can give you a report tracker ID if that will help troubleshoot my issue. Thank you.
Hello! @Tony222
We're so glad you could join us here in the Roku Community!
Thank you so much for reaching out to us. We're happy to help.
Some recent router updates have turned off dual-band routers' use of the 2.4 GHz band. Some Roku models, notably Roku Express/Express+ (model numbers below 3940) and Premiere/Premiere+ (model numbers below 4620), are lower-end units with single-band Wi-Fi radios that only support the 2.4 GHz band.
Thanks,
Arjiemar
