I noticed this issue today with my two Roku 4K's - when attempting to play the Spectrum TV app, I receive an error/unable to play message. However, my other, older Roku models are still playing the Spectrum TV app without issue.
I've attempted a reset of the 4K Roku's, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, powered them down, etc. Nothing appears to work.
Hi @jason0331,
Thanks for your first post in the Roku Community!
We appreciate you letting us know that you are unable to stream the Spectrum app on your Roku Streaming device and are getting an error message saying, "Unable to play." We would be more than willing to resolve this for you.
Since it works with your other Roku device, we suggest you try the following troubleshooting steps below:
Reset the network settings of your device
After the network reset is done, your Roku device will restart and you will need to return to the Settings menu and set up your wireless network again.
Please let us know if the issue persists, we would be more than willing to assist.
Regards,
Riamie
I am having the same issue. The above did not work - next move?
The icon does not show on the home screen so I cannot uninstall nor update the app. I can go to a search for the app which gives me a screen to start the app but cannot uninstall then reinstall (but the app does work then).
Thanks
Hi, I am having the same issue with the Spectrum app icon not showing. It does work if I do a search for Spectrum although all I can do is start the app. There is no way to uninstall/reinstall or update the app.
Thanks
Hi @KGH1,

We appreciate your trying the troubleshooting steps that we have provided above. We suggest you try to remove the Spectrum app through the Roku mobile app.
Download the Roku mobile app on your phone and log in with your Roku account then follow the steps below:
After removing the Spectrum app through the Roku mobile app, restart the system of your device: Go to Settings > Select System > Select Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step > Select System restart.
Add again the app:
We hope you find this information helpful.

I’ve been dealing with this for months now. However in guest mode, people can’t add certain channels like peacock. However if I’m not in guest mode, it works fine. I have multiple Roku Ultras…
Support says my network isn’t fast enough to download but that’s not the issue.
It says “Channel install failed. Could not add “”
Anyone know how to fix this?
Duplicate post.
Thank you Riamie,
This solved my issue of the icon not showing on the Roku home page. I never had a use for the Roku app, I believe I'll keep it.
Wife happy!
