Re: SMART HOME WIFI CONNCECTION

Hi, @hevnsgrl65

Greetings and welcome to the Roku Community.

May we know what specific Roku camera you are having issues with? Also, what specific behavior does the issue display regarding it not connecting?

With more details, the better we can assist.

All the best,
Kash

Hi @hevnsgrl65,

Thank you for posting here in the Roku Community!
We will be more than happy to investigate further with this issue that you're experiencing. Just to confirm, is this like a Roku floodlight camera SE?

We'll wait for your response.

Thanks,

Re: SMART HOME WIFI CONNCECTION

Thanks for keeping us posted, @hevnsgrl65

Kindly follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

  1. Confirm the Roku Smart Home app is up-to-date.
  2. Confirm the firmware for the Roku Camera and the Floodlight is current.
  3. Power cycle:
    • The user will need to flip the breaker to the off position. Wait 5–10 seconds, then return the breaker to the ON position.
    • This will power cycle both the floodlight and the Roku camera.
  4. Perform a factory reset.
    • Before performing this step, we should ask the user to submit an app log.
    • Floodlight: Delete the device from the Roku Smart Home app and set it up again like new.
    • Roku Camera:
    • If there is a microSD card inserted, remove it.
    • With the Roku Camera plugged into power, press and hold the setup button on the bottom of the camera for 10 seconds. This will reset the camera.
    • Wait at least 30 seconds for the unit to initialize.
    • This process can take up to 5 minutes. It's rare, but it's possible.
    • The LED status light on the device will change from solid red to flashing red.
    • The device is now ready to be set up again.

Please keep us posted on what you find out; we will happily continue assisting you further. We look forward to hearing back from you.

All the best,
Kash

Re: SMART HOME WIFI CONNCECTION

Hi @mariokelly,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you specify what Roku camera you are having issues with? Also, does the device not connect to your network at all, or do you just need assistance with connecting it? If it's the latter, kindly try rebooting your network, the Roku device, and the Smart Home app for a workaround.

We'll appreciate you elaborating on this concern with us so we can provide an accurate resolution.

Regards,
Janadee
