Re: Roku wifi outdoor camera won't connect and has no base station

Hi, @ctriplett0520.

Greetings from the Roku Community!

We appreciate you reaching us about having an issue connecting your outdoor camera. We'd like to know more about this.

Is there any error message when you connect the camera? Also, you don't need another base station to add a second outdoor camera. The base station can have three outdoor cameras.

Furthermore, you may visit this support article on how to set up your Roku Outdoor Camera SE

Please keep us posted.

Thanks,

No error message it just says ready to connect over and over and over. Scanned the QR code and phone is connected to the wifi but it tries then goes back to saying ready to connect

Re: Roku wifi outdoor camera won't connect and has no base station

Hi, @ctriplett0520.

Thanks for getting back to us!

We appreciate your clarification. We're here to provide some steps you can try.

  • Make sure the entire QR code is visible by the camera and nothing is obscuring the code.
  • If the screen on the mobile device is larger than 5.5 inches, you may need to hold your camera or doorbell more than 5 inches from the QR code.
  • Pull your camera or doorbell about 12 inches from the QR code and slowly move it closer and hold it for 5 seconds at various distances until the scan is successful.
  • Hold the QR code upside down and then refocus your camera or doorbell by slowly adjusting the distance.

Please keep us posted.

Thanks,
