I just had the same terrible experience two years later - this is terrible customer service. By far one of the worst I have experienced.

I placed an order for a remote replacement and the address was wrong. Couldn't get them to fix it. They just told me to refuse the shipment. How can I refuse a package being sent to wrong address?!?
The level of ignorance was astounding. I placed a charge back request with my bank instead to get my money back.
I have just had the identical experience. I ordered a couple of devices and immediately realized it had the wrong shipping address. Support told me they could neither correct the address nor cancel the order. Their solution was to wait until I had the tracking number and then cancel it with the shipper!
Truly awful systems. I will never use their website again for a purchase. Rather sad for a modern online company.
I will be heading to my bank to fix it there.
A year on and nothing has change.
I placed an order using PayPal and had no opportunity to validate / change the shipping address. As with other posters here, the "support" team said there is nothing they can do to remedy the situation. They can not cancel nor modify the order. Just refuse delivery.
I really feel like I got scamed. I guess this is a reason to use Amazon.
I agree that a full-time retailer like Amazon or Target usually does retail much better than a manufacturer that also dabbles in direct sales. But if allowing a customer to enter the wrong address is a scam, then that’s the weakest scam I’ve ever heard of!
It's not allowing the customer to fix the incorrect address or cancel the order before shipping that's the scam.
