Am I missing something? (Can only cancel two days before billing?)

Can someone provide insight as to why I can't cancel a Paramount subscription right now? Roku says it will send me a reminder email two days before my account is billed again, but what if I miss the email? Frustrating. I don't recall a billing system being this rigid. Any other way to cancel?

Subscriptions renew automatically until you turn off auto-renew and unsubscribe. If you've subscribed to a paid or premium subscription through Roku Pay or through The Roku Channel, you can turn off auto-renew and cancel the subscription at any time.
How to turn off auto-renew and cancel subscriptions on your computer or mobile device?
To turn off auto-renew and cancel subscriptions purchased with Roku Pay or through The Roku Channel, go to Manage your subscriptions in your Roku account.

  • Sign in to your Roku account
  • Select Manage your subscriptions
  • Select the channel or subscription under Active subscriptions
  • Select Turn off auto-renew
  • Choose a cancellation reason to complete the process and select Continue to cancel

How to turn off auto-renew and cancel channel subscriptions on your Roku streaming device?
Channel subscriptions purchased through Roku can also be cancelled on your Roku streaming device.

  • Press Home button on Roku remote on your Roku remote
  • Highlight the channel you want to cancel
  • Press Star*button on Roku remote on your remote to open the options menu
  • Select Manage subscription
  • To unsubscribe, select Cancel subscription
  • To confirm, select Cancel subscription
  • Select Done
