1 year Roku smart home subscription question

I am looking to purchase a 1 year subscription of the Roku smart home service in the next week. If I do this am able to activate the service at a later date like  January 1, 2024. I will not need to utilize the service till then, but would like to purchase the service now while I have the funds.
