Not making it impossible to watch the channel but would be good to be address long term. I recently decided to give a 1 free trial of Magellan through the Roku Channel. I actually ordered through an email offer on my phone. When I turned my TV on I was pleased to see Magellan tile on the home page which I believe is somewhat of a new feature. You used to have to access channel purchased through the Roku Channel within the channel itself. So it was cool to see it on the home screen. Everything was working fine until I found a program I wanted to watch and after that all I would receive was audio. No video ever. I decided to go back to the old way I did it. I went onto the Roku channel itself Magellan was there like any other streaming channel you'd have if you ordered it through Roku and I was pleased that the channel Magellan worked perfectly. No issues what so ever. I went back and tried the channel through the home screen and still only audio the screen was black once i click start on a show. I like this new ability to have channels I purchase on Roku show up on the home screen, but it looks like they are still ironing out the kinks with this new feature. Has anyone else experienced this? I made the post to hopefully make the Roku team awake that it was occurring to try to be helpful but alas I don't know how much I'll end up being. So I got the 1-week trial of Magellan and the week is over and didn't end up renewing. Nothing against Magellan I would continue to subscribe if it weren't for a few factors outside of anything to do with roku or Magellan. I'll do my best. Question 1 - yes, all my other apps were working, and I continued to use them every day for that week. Question 2 - The steps I took were I went into the Roku channel itself. I'm familiar with the roku OS and knew the channel could be accessed within the Roku Channel and I just continued to watch the channel that way for the week. Overall, not a huge pain but I like the new feature, and I think it was a good idea to start including subscription purchased through the Roku Channel appear on the main home screen. Question 3 - The issue appeared upon the first time I used the service that way. Right after I subscribed. I checked it again one the next day and it was doing the same thing, so I didn't use that feature again. Question 4 - I wish i could have and would have if I saw the response sooner. Smart Bulb - Color Connection Issue I recently bought a pair of Roku Smart Color bulbs for my room and had an issue with 1 out of the 2 during the set up. The first bulb connected fast and easy like 99% of the Roku devices I've bought but on the 2nd bulb set up I may have caused the issue to occur I'm not sure but whatver the reason I can't seem to get it to connect or turn on. The different between the 1st bulb set up and the 2nd bulb set up was I plug the 2nd blub into a lamp of mine that plugged in a Roku Smart plug. That could not matter at all and at first when i turnt the bulb into the lamp itstart pulse green like it should. It was at this moment I thought to myseld I could use the smart plug somewhere else cause I can control the blub itself without the need of the Roku smart plug so I unplugged the lamp and took the bulb out. When I tried it again this time following the set up I did with the first bulb I didn't get any response and haven't ever sense. On the Roku smart home app it says if your lights aren't pulsing turn them on and off 3 times to enter pairing mode. I followed those directions and still nothing. Does anyone have any ideas of what I should try next or know what might be happening in general? Thanks for the help in advance! How much did the new Roku Battery Camera Cost? I recently upgraded to a 75 inch TCL QM6K after many year of a 50 inch TCL with a Roku OS built in the the TV. I did not want to begin using the Google OS that come with the TCL TV's so I purchased a Roku Ultra so I can keep my Roku experience. Now that I no longer have a built in Roku OS and have the 2024 Roku Ultra and have the Google OS as the built in OS. Are there any tip of things I should be aware of? Benefits? Draw backs? Solved
