Have to restart Indoor Cameras constantly to be able to view
I have three Indoor SE Camera's that I've had for a few months. Previously they worked great. Viewing recorded events was a little slow sometimes because my previous internet provider had pretty bad upload/Download speeds. So to remedy this, I decided to switch internet providers. The speed I have now is 3x faster than my previous provider. I got all the cameras swapped over to my new WIFI router. All the connections say the signal strength is great. My router software says the connection is great to all three cameras but now anytime I try to pull up the Live feed of any camera on my Roku app or Roku Tvs....9 times out of 10 they will not connect. They are still recording events and sending notifications properly but the only way to pull up the live feed is resetting the camera. I reset and it instantly works....but then if you swap to a different camera....they will not connect again. This is beyond frustrating. Has anyone else had this happen or know what might be going on? I have uninstalled/reinstalled smart home app, made sure its fully up to date, made sure all cameras have the latest firmware. Read all the support documentation. Pretty much at a loss.Solved8.1KViews3likes13CommentsProblem NOT solved. Starting new thread regarding Wireless Outdoor Camera not charging
I’m starting a new thread to my issue regarding my Wireless Outdoor Camera not charging. The previous thread was marked as “solved” when, in fact, it was NOT solved. I followed the steps which were recommended. None of them work. When I asked what the lifespan of the cameras are, I was asked how long ago did I purchase the malfunctioning unit and where was it purchased. No one has answered my question, so I started this new thread. I have four of these cameras. One was purchased in mid 2023 and the other three in January 2024. All four were purchased from Roku. The oldest would be two years old. Is that the lifespan of the cameras? I’d appreciate a response.76Views1like1CommentWireless Outdoor Camera SE Not Holding Charge
For the last few days, one of my Wireless Outdoor Camera has not been holding a charge. The light keeps flashing red when being charged. After 12 hours of being connected, it doesn't show up on the Smart Home App. The power light does NOT show a solid blue. I followed the steps listed below. The camera has been off while charging. I cleaned out the charging port. I changed charging cords Not sure where to go from here. To say this has been disappointing would be an understatement.160Views1like10CommentsError Code List for Cameras
Is there an available complete Error Code List for Cameras? In pdf form would be the most handy, but nowhere in my search of the Roku site can I find a list of code descriptions, and they are also not in the printed instructions. Tryimg to setup wired camera, battery camera, and solar panel.Solved556Views0likes5CommentsUpdate the Roku Doorbell to work with existing home chime.
Please update the Roku Doorbell to work with existing home chimes. 99% of the video doorbells can utilize existing home chimes and this is the only one where you have to pair and inaudible electronic chime to the device. This should be fixed, so the existing chime (which resonates through the house) can be used in conjunction with the blue tooth chime. Most single family homes have existing home chimes that resonate through the house. The blue tooth Roku chime is barely audible and sounds horribly electronic. I cannot hear it beyond the area it is installed. The solution is barely rocket science and can easily be added with the correct programming and wiring.Solved144Views2likes5CommentsError “Operation Failed” after enabling Camera Detects Motion feature
Yes I keep getting the “operation failed” as well. I’ve tried resetting the chime and delete the device from the app and redoing everything. Idk if it’s my phone that’s the issue or the app and what to try next.1KViews0likes15CommentsRoku interior cameras sd card problem
I have micro sd cards in my Roku interior cameras and after few days or weeks the Roku camera will say sd card not available or missing. I’d have to take them out and reformat them and put them in again. Tried two different sd card brands, still having this issue. Anyone else have this problem or solution? Thanks.Solved2.2KViews2likes14Comments
