Roku TV screen saver loses paused live TV

Looks like a bug in the latest software update loaded earlier this month.

It used to be that the Roku screen saver would not come on when live TV was paused. Now it does, and when the screen saver comes on you lose the paused content. This is a real annoyance. You can pause live TV for up to 90 minutes but the screen saver comes on well before that. We have two Roku TVs (WalMart "Onn" 32" sets) and it's the same problem on both.

I checked settings and did not see a way to disable the screen saver or to even set the timeout to accommodate live TV pause. Is there no way to work around this problem? Or, do we just have to hope it's fixed in the next software update? (Whenever that might be.)

    Hey there! Louis_Nenda

You mentioned that Live TV pause suddenly gets interrupted by the screen saver and wipes out the buffer after an update. To take a closer look, please share the following info:

    • Roku device model, Device ID, Serial Number, and Software version (It can be found in Settings > System > About)
    • Tracker ID (Press Home five times, then press Back button five times when the issue occurs)
    • What troubleshooting steps have been taken?
    • Also, a short video showing the issue as it occurs (if possible).

Looking forward to hearing from you!
