I have a Roku 3. I was changing some internet settings on my wifi router- nothing major. Now all of a sudden my Roku wont show up on my tv. I changed the settings back and still nothing. The front of the device is doing a double light flash. I have tried all the trouble shooting with my internet provider. Maybe its a roku issue? AGain, I change the input source to HDMI and it will not show up.
I have changed the HDMI cables. I have power cycled the TV, internet, and roku.
Hi @bzkiii,
Thanks for the post.
Roku 3 was first released in 2013. Hence, that device is now 10+ years old and probably approaching the end of support from Roku and channel developers. It might be better to purchase a new streaming device for up-to-date support from Roku and channel providers.

Do you have another TV you can try it on? The network connection wouldn't have anything to do with whether you get any display on your TV. Assuming your TV is set to the proper input, you should see the startup animation when you connect the power to the Roku device.
I tried it on another tv and same issue. It seems to be now that the roku device itself must be bad. I have also swapped out the HDMI cable for a new one with the same effect.
If it's a Roku device that uses a USB power adapter try another one from a phone or tablet or the TV's USB port. The adapter should be able to supply 1 Amp or more (Output: 5V 1A).
It has been on the power adapter the whole time. Thats not the issue.
@bzkiii, don't bet on it. Those little power adapters are at least as likely to fail as a Roku device if not more so. If you don't want to try another one the only other thing I can suggest is a factory reset.

@renojim ive tried other power adapters. the issue isnt that the unit fails the power on. it seems to be failing to transmit image and sound to the tv/computer/screen of any sort that ive connected it with. Which, if the primary function of the device is to transmit picture and sound, it not doing those makes it a paperweight.
I have tried factory reset too. same issue.
