Latest Update (14.0.4 Build 12221) Broke WiFi 5Ghz

After the most recent update (14.0.4 build 12221), I noticed my 4800x Ultra showed a connection speed in the high 80s to low 90s. Prior the speed was in the 200 range. I checked my router and the ultra was connected at 2.4Ghz instead of 5Ghz. All other WiFi devices in the house were connected at 5Ghz. My router is set up to automatically connect at the highest speed that the device supports.  I configured a new 5Ghz only network and lo and behold the ultra couldn’t see the network.

Roku, please fix ASAP and stop breaking stuff.

Try powering off your router and Roku for 30 seconds and see if that helps.

@MagicM

Have you verified that your 5ghz band is configured to use n/ac "wireless mode" ?

If using a wifi6(ax) router, enable a mixed mode of n/ac/ax.  Then try disabling the 2.4ghz band and see if the Roku device now finds the 5ghz band.

Currently, only the Ultra 4850 and Roku-branded RokuTVs can take advantage of the ax speed protocol.

If still having issues, feel free to post back with router model number and ISP (internet provider) and describe your router settings/configuration.
