What is the Roku model number (Settings/System/About) and what is the router model number (maybe sticker on bottom or side/back).
Sounds like the router may be choosing a channel (DFS comes to mind) that may be incompatible with your Roku device.
Try connecting your Roku device to a mobile hotspot (if available to you) and see if the Roku device can connect to it.
Providing the Roku model number and router model number will help narrow down some possible culprits.
