I have a roku LE HD that I have plugged into my Sanyo 32 inch LED tv which manufacture date is December 2018. It is plugged in directly to a power outlet. I have Wi-Fi in my house with excellent signal but when I’m watching Netflix or Pluto tv it will just cut out and the screen goes back to the Roku screen and then shows the main screen with my apps on it. What is causing this? Is it the age of the tv or the Roku device?

What speed does your Roku show for its net connection?
Settings / Network / Check connection
After this completes and it returns you to the Network screen, that will show you the speed it determined.
Note that this can vary considerably depending on varying congestion on your network.
