My netflix and youtube app don’t even appear on my roku home screen when i download them. I literally have to go to the app store and search for them to use them. My netflix always pauses on its own and my Youtube always goes to a black screen and cancels me out of anything i was just watching. I’ve tried everything and more to fix this from getting a new block, factory restarting and resetting, unplugging everything for several minutes, deleting and re downloading Netflix and Youtube, Nothing works. My Tv and Roku Express are both brand new, this shouldn’t be an issue so it’s safe to say Roku Express is just trash and not worth it. @Roku
Welcome, and thanks for porting here in the Roku Community, @lele05!
We understand that you're experiencing a playback issue with Netflix and Youtube. Rest assured that we're here to help you get this sorted out.
Could you please let us know if you have other devices in your house? If you have other Roku devices, we suggest checking if the apps you have installed on the device where you're having problems are also installed and can be seen on your other Roku device. Also, try installing the app through the Roku Mobile app or directly to the website to see if the app will appear on the device's Home Screen.
In addition, it is also worth checking to see if the app order is enabled in your Settings, as it may have placed your newly installed app in the middle of the app lists instead of the bottom. To check it, go to Settings > Home Screen > App order and set it to Manual.
We are looking forward to your prompt response.
All the best,
Emman
