New Roku stick, all works fine, except when I turn off my TV to standby using TV remote. When I turn it back on, Roku doesn't wake up, even pressing home button on Roku remote. Only way to get it back on is to unplug and plug Roku back in, which is a big faff every time turning the TV on.
Any help on why it's not waking up/ how to wake it up?
Hi, @Langooner.
Welcome to the Roku Community, glad to have you here!
Thanks for letting us know about the issue you're experiencing with your Roku, we'd like to know more about it to help you sort things out.
If you have tried this on other TVs and the issue has not been resolved, it could be a problem with your TV's port. Have you tried changing to a high-speed HDMI cable to see if that improves the device's performance?
Please let us know what you find out.
Best,
Emman
You might try going to Settings -> System -> Power -> Auto power savings
And see if it works better with that feature disabled. A roku sitting at the home screen doesn't use much power anyway.
Thank you- that could do it! I can't see Power when I go into system settings or advanced settings though. Could it be somewhere else? I've had a good look through but not seeing that section.
Do you know your model number? Recent Sticks (3820 and 3821) should have it.
If that doesn't work, you could also try disabling screen savers as I noticed every time I have that enabled on my Ultra, it causes a similar issue, where it will sometimes not wake up.
