I can’t connect to any app anymore.
I have two devices. One is a Roku TV and another is a Roku portable usb device. I was able to connect the Roku app on both devices.
Also a “mirror app” that I use to watch movies from my phone.
Suddenly I am not able able to connect to any of these anymore. It doesn’t find any Roku devices on same network.
I had to reconnect my wireless one day (I don’t know why it got disconnected, but after this happened, It is like they are not on same network anymore, but they are)
anyone have an idea what can it be? I am able to AirPlay, but the apps doesn’t find any Roku devices.
I tried to connect manually but that also doesn’t work. I don’t know what it is since nothing has changed aside reconnecting the wireless on both tvs.
Going to reinforce they ARE on same wireless account.
I did reset everything already. That’s not the problem.

Hi, @Jeenymonteiro
Thanks for posting, and welcome to the Roku Community.
We're sorry to hear about the issue you've had with connecting the Roku mobile app to your Roku Streaming devices, and we appreciate you for bringing this to our attention so we can assist. May we know if you've already uninstalled the Roku mobile app and installed it once again? Also, have you tried restarting your modem/router?
Please keep us posted, and we'll assist further.
All the best,
Kash
I have restarted the router and also have tried to uinistall the Roku app. I tried to also use 3rd part apps and it can’t find both devices.
I tried to connect manually and also disable the band 2.4gz so I am 100% sure they are in same network and 5Gz band if that makes any difference.
I can’t figure it out what’s wrong. it stopped working out of nowhere.
Looking at my wireless settings I can see the devices are connected.
Thanks for keeping us posted, @Jeenymonteiro
We appreciate your response as well as your effort in the attempts to resolve this issue. We recommend disabling the 5Gz band instead of the 2.4Gz since most Roku devices are more compatible with the 2.4 GZ, especially with older devices. If you're still seeing the same issue, could you please provide the following:
Once we have this information, we can assist further.
All the best,
Kash
Here is the print showing everything on same Wi-Fi. I disconnected the 5.1Gz as suggested. The unknown_02 is my phone.
My phone details
Showing I wasn’t able to connect manually
My tv Roku. I also have another device which isn’t working but I can’t access the details as I don’t have a remote control for it.
The Roku mobile app.
So far what I have done:
Reset modem, reset tv, reset phone. Connect manually. Uninstall app.
Disconnect/Reconnect devices on Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi is working, I can access Netflix and other apps in the Roku normally, but can’t connect to any app from my phone.
I am having the same exact problem. It just started out of nowhere. It has worked great for years and all the sudden it refuses to find the device. I’ve even tried to different WiFi connections and no luck. I am baffled.
I guess it is a lost cause.
Quora forum have some suggestions that you could try. For me nothing works and I have given up.
I am changing to fire TV from Amazon.
good luck

I've got the same issue, the app on my phone won't find my TV anymore.
It's new as of a few weeks ago, used it regularly before this.
I tried cycling everything, deleting and then re-installing the app.
It will randomly connect from time to time, but it then loses the connection shortly after and you can't get it back.
