I broke my remote and my Roku app doesn’t work because my tv isn’t connected to the new internet

I just moved and my Roku remote got broken previously. So I was using the Roku remote app, but where I just moved my Roku tv isn’t connected to the new internet, and where I don’t have a physical remote I can’t get my tv to connect to the new internet, and on top of that my tv doesn’t have an Ethernet plug in. So my biggest problem is I can’t afford a new remote. So if anybody has a solution that doesn’t require me getting a new remote that would be greatly appreciated.

You can set the new router to have the same SSID and password as the previous one.  Then the Roku will just connect to it as if nothing changed.

Banned but back. Because why not?

If you don't have access to the router settings like @Strega2 suggests, you have no choice but to get a new remote. Fortunately you can get a universal IR remote for pretty cheap from any store that sells remotes. Just make certain the package says it has Roku TV (not Roku player) codes.

@Noah96 If you have a friend or neighbor that has a Roku TV you can borrow their remote.  All Roku TV remotes works across brands so TV does not have to be the same brand.  Once you can get the TV connected to the internet you can use the Roku Remote app.
