the remote isn’t pairing to the device. The light is still blinking and the device is stuck on the pairing to remote screen. I’ve tried every possible way to trouble shoot it but it doesn’t seem to want to work.

Is the device a stick that has the Wi-Fi receiver embedded in the USB cable?  What's the model number written on the device?  Can you connect to it using the mobile app?
