Roku Remote Won’t Connect to TV

I had set up my Roku TV at my old apartment, but I recently moved in with family and now no longer have that wifi. I unpacked my TV today and turned it on, but my remote no longer controls my TV and my TV says it is not connected to wifi. What can I do? My phone won’t connect either because the devices need to be on the same network, but I don’t know how to accomplish this. Please help

Re: Roku Remote Won’t Connect to TV

The tv remote was packed away? Could have had its batteries run down by something pressing against it keys for along period of time? Try new batteries. If after it still doesn't control the tv test the remote by pointing it at your cellphone camera, if you don't see flashes hen pressing keys it's broken.
