Buy this on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08NY7PYR3/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=A2POEE741OQ5K1&psc=1
The ones ROKU sells drain batteries and they don't support them.

Re: Roku needs to recall their TV Remotes due to draining of batteries.
So you said:
Replace your remote batteries
- Remove the battery cover on the back of your remote
- Remove both batteries from the battery compartment
- Replace the batteries with a new matching pair and test again
Have you failed to READ the comments?????
THAT is the issue!! It doesn't resolve the problem that was posed about your POS remotes going through batteries every week or so! Your half-wit suggestion to change batteries is what we are trying to avoid! Perhaps we could suggest you take a couple remotes and use them for a suppository!

The suggestions they make are pretty useless, but I have to say that’s the most laughable 😂.

Re: Roku needs to recall their TV Remotes due to draining of batteries.
Things like the 4K stick use WiFi for connecting to your remote instead of IR, so if you turn the stick power off with your TV your remote goes into search mode for a connection and runs your batteries down. Eventually this causes the chip to need to be reset by unplugging it’s power for a minute. I deal with this using a smart plug so I don’t need to get into the wiring. Leaving the stick powered up has solved the battery issue for me.

Mine is powered from a wall outlet. Makes no difference.

Re: Roku remote batteries draining daily. Is there a remedy?
Hi @Jakejagz,
Thanks for reaching out to the Roku community regarding your battery drain issue.
We'd like to take a closer look to see if there's anything else we can suggest to help. Have you tried to remove and reinsert the batteries if this helps resolve the issue? Can you please provide the serial number/device ID on your Roku device?
Please keep us posted with the details.
Best regards,
Mary
