After watching TV in the afternoon, my roku remote stopped working when I turned the TV back on in the evening. The roku powers on, pulls up the menu, etc. Only the remote seems to not be working. I have tried unplugging and replacing batteries. It is still not working. The device is only 3 months old.

These troubleshooting steps only have steps to repair voice remotes. The SIMPLE remote has no available trouble shooting.

We will be more than happy to assist you with your Roku remote since it is not working. Please try to use another set of new batteries and ensure that there is no blocking in pointing the Roku remote from your Roku device since it will interfere with the signal.

A Roku tv simple remote if defective has to be replaced by the Tv manufacturer, Roku only supplies the UI for Roku tv's. Roku doesn't have Roku tv IR remotes, the only IR Roku has is worthless on ALL Roku tv's, sorry.

Hi, 

I have 2 standard roku remotes for 2 different tv that both have random but increasingly frequent no response when using volume controls and now with other button commands back button, arrows, mute, volume etc. Remotes have always been fussy and sometimes removing battery and reinstalling helped. pita. Essentially useless. I have exchanged with new batteries which gave me a short term fix. Now with new batteries it wont operate but sometimes shows battery indicator top right with 4 bars- appears good. I also tried the resetting process but no fix. What is wrong and how to fix. Thanks
