HI @Teheiani,
A warm welcome here at the Roku Community!
We'd be more than happy to assist you regarding your remote issues and we appreciate you reaching out to us. Since you've mentioned that you performed a reset, could you please clarify if it is a factory reset? Furthermore, kindly perform a system reboot on your Roku streaming device by navigating to your Home screen. Scroll and select Settings > System > Power (if this option is unavailable, proceed to the next step) > System restart. This process has been confirmed by other users to be the accurate resolution to their remote issues, so we'd like to recommend this.
If the your remote issue still occurs after performing those steps above, please inform us and we'll go from there. We'll be looking forward to your update!
Thanks,
Carly

I did all the suggested solutions numerous times. Nothing has worked. The remote is one of the new ones that you have to recharge. On a hunch i tried an older remote and it started working properly. Now what do i do with this high dollar remote that doesn’t work?
