I bought this on Amazon in August 2023 and it’s the first time it needs to be charged. The charger end will not fit into the devices port!!!! Device cannot be recharged! Also, where do I find my devices’ ID number?

Are you sure it's the right charger cable? (After more than a year it seems like a charger/cable could easily get confused with another one.) I believe the original voice remote pro used a micro USB connector, so you had to make sure it was the right way up. The newer model uses USB-C that can be plugged in either way.

I did manage to talk to someone at Roku and they are sending me another Roku. Thank you for your assistance.

Your cable is micro usb but the port on the remote is usb-c.

Yes, that cable might have come with a Roku Express or similar.  Try looking for the remote cable, or any USB-C cable.  Most recent phones, tablets and laptops are coming with USB-C cables.  USB-C cables have rounded ends.  Mirco USB is trapezoidal with those springy slots shown in your picture.

I tried all the cables I have-iPhone, iPad, other Rokus, etc. nothing fits onto the port!

We sincerely apologize for any confusion. Based on the picture you provided, it appears that your remote is equipped with USB-C charging, while the charging cable you currently have is a Micro USB, which is compatible with Roku remote voice. You might not need to purchase or replace a new remote instead, acquiring a USB-C charging cable should resolve the issue. 

Please be advised that the Roku Voice Remote Pro (2nd edition) is our newest rechargeable Roku remote, which is equipped with USB-C charging.
