My remote is having the same issue. I’ve changed the batteries twice fresh from the pack and it still will not allow me to reconnect to my Roku device. I am using a Roku TV stick. We even tried to reset the device using the reset button. None of the hard reset tricks with work.

I'm gonna let you know there is no solution for it. They won't give you one. And after replacing battery after battery that I knew was new after buying more than one remote that I shouldn't have had to buy because it's definitely a Roku error I trashed the Roku altogether and got something else and I've never been happier get something else trash Roku
