Just got a Roku tv. So currently having to use the Roku remote to turn on the tv and move down to the fire tv app. Once that opens have to switch to my firestick remote, but use the Roku remote for volume still and to turn off tv.

Is it possible to make it where I only need the Roku remote even once in the fire tv app? If so how?

An app won't require a different remote but a different device will. You might see if the Firestick remote can be programmed to control a TV.
