Roku TV stuck on purple "Roku TV" screen

We have a Westinghouse Roku TV and it will not go past the purple "Roku TV" screen. Every once in a while, it looks like it turns off, but it then goes back to the purple screen.

- We are unable to turn it off with the remote but can turn it on.

- We have tried unplugging the TV and that did not work.

- Our remote is a basic Roku remote without voice.

How can we get past the purple screen? Thanks!

In this case, we recommend factory resetting your Roku TV. Here's how:

  1. Locate the reset button on your Roku device, which is usually on the back or bottom.
  2. Ensure your Roku TV is powered on.
  3. Press and hold the reset button for exactly 10 seconds.
  4. Watch for a fast-blinking light, indicating that the reset is in progress.
  5. Once the light blinks at a normal rate, release the button.
