I'm following also. We have a Roku 4k Express device and also do not have TV input in settings.
@GarD, there's nothing to follow. An Express isn't a "Roku TV". Only actual TVs are Roku TVs (unlike "Apple TV"). Only actual Roku TVs have inputs, so only Roku TVs have "inputs" anywhere in the menus.
Bummer. Thanks for the clarification.
When I go to live tv there is no setup listed.
I have a tcl roku and do nor have the antena input and when I go to live tv settings set up does not come up.
Welcome to the Roku Community, @Power1500!
Thanks for reaching out. We'd be happy to help you set up a Live TV input on your TCL Roku TV.
Depending on where you live, you may be able to receive free “over-the-air” TV broadcasts from nearby TV stations using an HDTV antenna. If you know how to connect, this is an easy way to watch TV on your Roku TV system. You can refer to Antenna Web for more information on accessing “over-the-air” TV in your area and finding and using an HDTV antenna.
If Live TV is missing, you can add it by going to Settings > TV inputs > Live TV > Set up input.
For reference, you may visit this support article dedicated to this: How to set up and watch live TV on your Roku TV system
Hope this helps!
Best regards,
Carly
I have the same issue. It was there. Then I unplugged the device so I could attach it to another TV, and the antenna choice disappeared. I'm just about ready to switch to a Firestick or Google, and I've used Roku for a few years.
@Kim4735, it's not clear what you're speaking of. No Roku device other than an actual TV ever had an "antenna choice".
I have the Roku Express for my Sony smart TV. It streams fine, but i want my local stations (late night show, soaps, sitcoms, etc.) I was told an Antenna was needed. but like most of you, I don't have TV INPUTS. I'm ready to return the express and the antenna because it's driving me mad! Are you saying that I cannot get my primetime shows without purchasing a roku tv?
How is this different from FireStick? Is a FireStick easier?
@LindaDog, connect that antenna to your TV and use its remote to access your local channels. No streaming device from any manufacturer that I'm aware of has an antenna input. That's the job of the TV. Any reference to "TV Inputs" you see is only for Roku TVs, not the little boxes or sticks.
