What happened to Free Movie Classics channel?

Jump to solution

When I select a movie to watch on Free Movie Classics, it just switches back to the main page.  Is this channel gone?

@paterd

FMC is still working properly on my Ultra 4660 with OS 11.5.

Search for "Movie Classics" under the Streaming Channels Search and you will find FMC.

Try the Remove channel/app, Restart Roku device, and Reinstall channel/app procedure. (in that order)

You would need to contact the developer. There are several channels with similar names. Is it actually "Free Classic Movies"? If so, that is "K Studios".

Otherwise, see if one of these is the channel you are talking about:

Thank you, yes it is/was called "Free! FMC Classic Movies".  I will try the other one that you showed, maybe it's the same or similar.

Many of these minor channels just either access public domain repositories, or have contracts with some 3rd party. It's not unusual for some change behind the scene to cause problems. It could also have been a temporary glitch.

Thank you, that did the trick.  I'll remember that in case it happens again.

Thank you, that's good to know.  I ended up removing the channel, restarting Roku, and reinstalling and now it works.
