Why are some episodes blocked by having to subscribe to a different service? For example, the TV show "Doc", S2 E10. I had seen it previously I wanted to watch it on Veterans Day but now it is saying I have to subscribe to up Faith and family in order to watch that one episode. Other episodes were included in the Roku channel. What’s up with that???
Streaming services like Roku own little of the content they show, but license it from the content owners. Licenses come and go, expire, and get replaced with others.

Unfortunately, it seems fairly common for episodes to be missing on free services. I was watching an old series Airwolf only to find that Episodes 21 and 22 of Season 3 are missing.
