Re: VPN or proxy error for Paramont plus live TV error
Hi @Bojest,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
We noticed in your post that you are having trouble watching on your Paramount Plus channel. We'd be happy to assist you with this.
Could you please describe the exact behavior you are experiencing with Paramount Plus? Are you receiving any error codes or messages? If you are unable to watch the FBI series, have you checked the other available content?
In the meantime, we recommend you try the following:
Restart your modem and router
- Unplug the modem and router from the power source
- Wait for 10 seconds before you plug it back.
- Wait until it loads before you connect again the device to the internet.
Restart the System of your device
- Press Home on your Roku remote
- Scroll and select Settings
- Select System
- Select Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.
- Select System restart
We hope you find this information helpful.
Regards,
Riamie

Re: VPN or proxy error for Paramont plus live TV error
I'm having the same issue. I had not been having any issues with the FBIs until today. Now none work and I'm getting the VPN error as well.

Re: VPN or proxy error for Paramont plus live TV error
Same issue here too. Have never had or used a VPN, but now if I try to open any FBI show on my Roku tv it gives me the VPN error message. I tried four other paramount plus shows and all streamed perfectly fine, it’s just the FBI series. It opens on the same WiFi network on my phone as well.

Re: VPN or proxy error for Paramont plus live TV error
Hi @Etraub0127, @CElliott,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
We noticed in your post that you're getting a VPN error message when you try to watch the FBI series on the Paramount Plus channel. No worries; help is here.
We have tried to replicate this on our end, and it was working perfectly. So we highly suggest you try the following:
• Reset your Roku device network settings:
- Press Home on your Roku remote
- Scroll and select Settings
- Select Advanced System settings
- Select Network connection reset
- Select Reset connection
After resetting your network it will automatically restart your device and you have to reconnect it again to your internet service. How to connect your Roku streaming device to the internet
If the issue persists, kindly provide us with the following details:
- Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and OS version. (this can all be found in Settings > System > About)
- Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
- Channel build version
- Please take a photo of the TV screen showing the error message. How do I insert an image in a post?
We look forward to your response.
Thanks,
Riamie

Same issue. We are not using a VPN. Seems to be the FBI series in Paramount plus. Tried resetting router and Roku network settings.

Re: VPN or proxy error for Paramont plus live TV error
Hi, @Portcitybob
Thanks for providing the information!
We have taken note of the details we gathered from your response and forwarded them to the appropriate Roku team for further review.
In the meantime, we would recommend reaching out to your internet service provider (ISP) directly since you are accessing Paramount+ through its stand-alone app. In this case, there might be an IP address location error that needs correction where your ISP can address.
Keep us posted on what you find out.
Best wishes,
Kash
