error Unable to get playable url on Nat Geo

Jump to solution

Yesterday I subscribed to NatGeo, and content will not play.   I get the error report in the subject line.  I deleted and re-loaded the app, but without success.  All other apps on my Ultra streamer are running fine.  Any ideas?

TLDR:  As mentioned on the NatGeo website, mobile and streaming apps were withdrawn from the market on September 23, 2024.  It is available on Disney+, Hulu and via their website .

That Roku charged my credit card for their app that hasn’t worked in 6 months is either the hight of incompetence or fraud.

I spent close to an hour with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support duplicating the actions I had already taken on my own - power off/power on, check software updates on the Ultra and app, removing and reinstalling the app - when I asked the Tier 2 tech what I had read about the apps being withdrawn from the market.  He quickly transferred me to Billing, where they canceled my subscription and processed a refund.
