What's the fix for Tennis Channel?

Jump to solution

Tennis Channel loads then clicks back to the main Roku screen, but ultimately will not open. I have tried many ways to try and fix the issue including updated roku software, network system restart, reinstall tennis channel, and more, all to no avail.

@pwilsman-

Restart** your Roku to clear its memory cache after uninstalling but BEFORE reinstalling the channel.  Without the restart you may not get a clean reinstall.  This is not a cure-all but at least it will assure you of having an uncorrupted copy of the current channel app.

Depending on your Roku model number you'll find the "System restart" option under either "Settings > System > Power" or under "Settings > System".

If you don't have sufficient control to use the menus, or if it is just more convenient, you can also restart by pulling the power plug for a short while, then plugging it back in.

**On a Roku TV with "Fast TV Start" enabled, turning the TV off/on only puts you in/out of a low power standby state, it does NOT give you a complete restart.  Use the methods above.

That solution does not work. I am out over $100 because the app will not open.

Model: 3942RA2; serial: X02200DUANKR; software: 13.0.0 build 24056-E4; device ID: S14YK38UANKR.

Tracker Issue ID: KR-283-227.

TC Version/Build: Version 1.0 ; build 29.

As of 07/15/24, I am still having this issue as well; going on for about a week or 2. It was working fine during Bad Homburg / Eastbourne tournaments (about the end of June). Any help would be appreciated.

Seems like an app issue. The app on my phone seems to work so the app update on Roku seems broken. I imagine it will be a mysterious app update fix that you have to keep trying it every couple of days to know when it gets fixed.

Tennis Channel tech support has known about this issue for 2 months. Unfortunately, there still is still no remedy at this time.

I removed TCPlus. Added back and rebooted. TCPlus still does not work…

@Deedeeright, if that's the order you used, try removing it, then the reboot, and finally add it again after the reboot.

I've tried that several times in the correct order and it doesn't work.  It's an upgrade issue that Tennis Channel screwed up and there is no fix except get rid of Roku and purchase another streaming device.
