When setting up a new device you have to wait for it to load apps you don't want, which tracks with how much Roku doesn't like you having any control over what you've bought. It also deletes apps on other devices when you're setting the new one up, which sounds like apps are tied to accounts instead of devices. I know Roku wants me to make a new account per device to pad their numbers, but before switching to a new system does anyone know a way to fix that?

Hey @Rkutrash,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
Just a heads-up: your channels are tied to your Roku account, not just individual devices. So, if you change something on one Roku device, it'll update all of them under that account.
If you want different channels on each device, you'll need to create separate accounts with different email addresses. Please note that premium subscriptions linked to the original account won't carry over, but any subscriptions bought directly from channel websites will work on any Roku device.
Enjoy your streaming!

Re: How to stop apps being deleted?
If all your devices are under one account, then what you put on that account will go on all devices. What you delete, will delete off the devices. The only way that I know of to avoid that is to have separate Roku accounts on each device or a select group of devices.
