I was able to search for and find Cinema Box on my Roku stick (though installing it didn't add it to my channel list, and to view it I have to go to my search again), but searching for it on my Roku TV does not show it. Why would it be available on one device but not another?
I only have a Roku-Enabled TV, not a Roku Stick, But I did a search in Google and this came up:
Question: "are some apps available on a Roku TV AND not on a Roku stick?"
Answer: "Yes, some apps may be available on Roku TVs but not on Roku sticks because of the different Roku device models"
You might want to start a chat with Roku Support. They may have some ideas to help you. Good luck!
Thank you VERY much for your prompt reply. The older movies seem to have better story lines. Have a safe and blessed day.
And Cinema Box is no longer available as of yesterday ( March 3, 225 ). Being able to watch The en Commandments was awesome.
Have a good day.
It did disappear once again, It has always comes back in some form or another, with largely the same content. Cinema Box, MovielandTV, Classico ... essentially the same look and feel, essentially the same content when they reappear. I keep a few movies that I know were in their catalogs in my Roku Save List, available when you select "What To Watch" on the Home Page Menu. Movies like The Hustler, American Graffitti, The Chase, The Last Detail, Bonnie and Clyde, Dirty Harry, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World ... eventually when one of the 3 channels, or even one with a new name, that selection in your Save List will bring up the channel indicating one of the ways you can watch the movie. If it is one of those movies I mentioned, the channel(s), or a new one with same content will appear, and you will know without a lot of pain finding it.
It always seems to return, without ads, without subscriptions or fees, without any login required ... so they aren't collecting data on you that isn't provided by Roku or perhaps your network address. Enjoy the Show!
The fact that you have big name movies being available for free almost certainly means they are pirated. That is why the channels keep going up and down. It's a mixture of not enough money, and DCMA takedowns. I'm surprised Roku keeps allowing them to constantly come back and end up going down for the same reasons. You'd think that developer would be banned after several times.
Hey everyone!
We see you're asking about accessing the Cinemax Box on Roku.
As of 03/03/25, the Cinemax Box is no longer available in the Roku Streaming Store.
When a app disappears like this, it's usually because it's been removed from the Roku platform, sometimes by the content provider. While we know this might be a bummer, don’t worry—there are still plenty of great options to explore!
Here are a few ways to find new apps:
